MICHAEL ANDREW WOOD
On 12th July 2008
Michael died peacefully at his home after a long and brave fight. Age 44
Michael was the dearly loved husband of Lisa, dear father of Lara and
Christopher.
Michael joined the crew as D.L.A on the 7th June 1997 before transferring to
the ILB and Hovercraft, Michael was a active and popular crew member with
all at Morecambe and is commitment and enthusiasm will be missed.
The Funeral service will take place on Monday 21st July at Morecambe Parish
Church at 11:00am prior to cremation at Lancaster and Morecambe Crematorium
at 11:45am.
Family flowers only please.

Thinking of a Visit
A new Initiative has been introduced at Morecambe Lifeboat
station for children’s education on safety and the work of the RNLI,
information packs are available for teachers as are visits to schools by
RNLI volunteers or visits to the station by the children. Adult groups and
organization have not been forgotten and are invited to contact the
volunteers named below to arrange for a visit to the station or for the
volunteers to come to you.
Sorry but we cannot arrange visits to the
boathouse on Wednesday evenings as it is crew training night.

The Bay Organ & Keyboard Society is to hold a concert in aid of
Morecambe Lifeboat at St Christopher's Hall, St Christopher Way, Morecambe
on the 3rd August 2008 starting
7-45pm.The program will consist of all styles of music from Big Band to
popular classics, a similar concert in 2007 for Macmillan Nurses was a great
